On opening night, Cornell presents world-class chamber music in the auditorium of the new Klarman Hall, and then travels over five days to Barnes Hall, the Lab of Ornithology, and the Carriage House Café. We feature a mixture of new faces (clarinetist Chris Grymes and violist Gilad Karni), as well as returning friends: soprano Íride Martínez, violinists Tatiana Samouil and Xiao-Dong Wang, cellist Zvi Plesser, and percussionist Michael Compitello. The repertoire this year ranges from the gorgeous Chanson perpétuelle of Chausson to the Trio in G Minor by Schumann, with a special focus on Prokofiev in this anniversary year. On Sunday afternoon, enjoy delicious sweets provided by Ba-Li Cravings and award-winning brew by Copper Horse Coffee. We ask: is this not enough? Come give your ears a treat.
