To our wonderful Mayfest audience:  Miri and I have an special opportunity to hear our son Misha perform in Leipzig, Germany on a festival of the complete works of Shostakovich with members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra in late May. Therefore, we will not be presenting Mayfest in 2025, sure to return invigorated in 2026. We so appreciate your dedication to Mayfest, and hope you understand us not wanting to miss hearing Misha perform. If you are free on Monday, April 21, we are presenting a free concert of works by Shostakovich and Weinberg with the wonderful violist Misha Zaretsky in Barnes Hall at 7:30pm. Zaretsky has known Miri since she was born in Moscow, and we have been performing together for 25 years. We hope you might join in lieu of Mayfest.
